Pearl Brands receives 14 awards at 2017 American Advertising Awards

Pearl Brands won 14 awards - including three Gold, one Best-in-Category Amy Award and one Judges' Choice Award - at the 2017 American Advertising Awards, announced agency owner, Scott Qurollo. The awards were hosted by adFed Suncoast on Feb. 23 in Sarasota. Pearl Brands has now received 38 combined awards over the past three years. The American Advertising Awards (formerly known as The Addys) are sponsored by the American Advertising Federation to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.

Pearl's 14 awards made them one of the top scoring agency entrants at the awards gala. The following is a list of the agency's awards.

Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to hold 2017 Spring Job Fair

The Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce invites the community to its 2017 Spring Job Fair Wednesday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Hodges University Fort Myers Campus, located at 4501 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.

Boy attends Global Pet Expo

Employment Law Attorney Suzanne Boy of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt P.A., was scheduled to present two courses at the Global Pet Expo at the Orlando Convention Center on March 22-24.

In her first presentation, "Employment Law 101: What Every Employer Should Know," Boy will educate business owners and supervisors on basic employment laws, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, social media, and performance management. In her second presentation, "Please Sign Here: A Guide to Workplace Documentation," she will teach attendees how to prepare and implement solid employment policies and contracts, as well as how to ensure handbooks do not violate NLRB rules on protected concerted activity.

Boy concentrates her practice in employment law, assisting clients with all aspects of employment-related litigation, claims, and client counseling.

Low back pain seminar March 29

Dr. Scott Gray, a specialty-trained physical therapist, will be having a free seminar on low back pain, Wednesday, March 29, from 6:15-7 p.m., at the Allied Physical Therapy office at 1413 Viscaya Parkway Cape Coral, FL, 33990.

The public is invited to come and learn common causes of low back pain and the best strategies to relieve the pain naturally. Those attending will also have a chance to win raffle prizes.
