The Florida Everblades bolstered their blue line for the upcoming 2017-18 ECHL season by signing defenseman Clark Seymour to contract terms on Thursday.

Seymour, 24, is the seventh player to agree to terms with the team. The 6-foot-5, 216-pound blueliner comes to the Everblades after spending time playing in Austria last season. He also saw action in 92 games for the Wheeling Nailers accounting for 37 points over parts of two seasons.

"Clark is a big, tough, high-character defenseman that plays in all situations," said Blades coach Brad Ralph. "He also brings a tremendous amount of experience that will help us play deep into the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Clark's confidence, along with his leadership both on and off the ice, will be valuable assets to our organization."

The Ontario native was a fifth-round draft selection of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
