Leopard receives top honor from RE/MAX International LLC

RE/MAX Realty Partners has announced that RE/MAX International LLC has inducted Jessie Leopard into its prestigious "RE/MAX Hall of Fame."

The company Hall of Fame was established to recognize and salute the "exclusive" group of top producers who have achieved more than $1 million in gross commission earnings during their career with RE/MAX.

Chiropractor joins Dr. Mel's Wellness Spa

Dr. Mel Youngs, D.C., P.A. has announced that a new addition to her healthcare team, Dr. James Haakenson, chiropractic physician. Haakenson graduated with degree in acupuncture from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. He went on to obtain his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has practiced chiropractic for 12 years and acupuncture for seven years.

Haakenson originally hails from Wisconsin and is so happy to be in the Sunshine State! He is passionate about promoting whole-family wellness and is excited to bring his wealth of knowledge and expertise to Dr. Mel's Chiropractic Wellness team.

Storm Smart's Francioni new chamber chairman

On Friday, Jan. 26, Storm Smart CFO/Executive Vice-President Joseph Francioni officially began his duties as the 2018 Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral.

Francioni,along with the rest of the 2018 Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral Board of Directors, were sworn in during the organization's annual gala ceremony held at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.

Francioni takes over the reins of the organization from LCEC's Trish Lassiter, who served as the chairwoman in 2017.

While this is his first go as chamber president, Francioni is no stranger to leading local organizations. In fact, this year, he will be serving double duty, as he was recently named as the chairman of Cape Coral's Council for Progress. He also served as the president for the Cape Coral Con-struction Industry Association in 2015.

A graduate of Mariner High School, Francioni says his term as the chamber chairman will focus on increasing membership and membership retention, as well as working to get members more involved.

Schweers earns professional public relations accreditation

Molly Schweers, APR, of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, recently earned professional public relations accreditation, and received the designation of Accredited in Public Relations.

Schweers joins the more than 4,300 active public relations professionals worldwide who represent an elite group of skilled professionals committed to practicing with high ethical standards, including 34 currently in Southwest Florida.

Schweers is the outreach and education coordinator for Lee County Solid Waste. She's responsible for developing and implementing recycling and waste awareness campaigns.

Schweers, a Fort Myers resident, earned a master's of public administration from Florida Gulf Coast University and a B.S. from New Mexico State University.

To earn public relations accreditation, candidates must pass an oral presentation and rigorous written examination administered by the Universal Accreditation Board, which is an alliance of eight national and statewide professional associations dedicated to furthering the field of public relations and the development of public relations professionals.
