Mariner, South split in bowling

Mariner's boys defeated South Fort Myers 4-1 Tuesday, led by Tyler Koenig with a 172 and freshman Eddie Crutchley with a 172. With the win, the boys are 7-1 on the season.

South Fort Myers won the girls' competition 5-0. Mariner (3-5) was led by Ramonna Baker with a score of 127. The girls are now 3-5 on the season. Mariner is home Thursday against Cypress Lake.

Cape sweeps Bishop Verot: The Vikings boys fell to 2-3, while Bishop Verot's girls slipped to 0-5. Tanner Filla led the Verot boys with a 177, while Katie Krutsky bowled a 132 for the Vikings. Both are freshmen.

Volleyball

Oasis 3, Imagine North Port 0: The Sharks (12-3) swept to a 25-20, 25-22, 25-13 win over Imagine School (9-6).

North Fort Myers 3, Ida Baker 0: The Red Knights (12-2, 2-0) swept the Bulldogs (10-6, 2-2) 25-13, 25-12, 25-11 in District 7A-10. Katie Dickey had 16 kills, Kaleigh Edwards 29 assists, and Madison Barron 14 digs for North.

Cape Coral 3, Island Coast 0: The Seahawks (1-4, 6-7 District 7A-10) rolled 25-19, 25-12, 25-15 against the Gators (0-11, 0-5).

Lely 3, Mariner 0: The Tritons (6-7, 2-3) dropped a District 6A-12 match. 25-15, 25-12, 25-17 at Lely (9-4, 4-0).

Wednesday

Volleyball

Oasis 3, Clewiston 0: The Sharks (13-3, 4-2 District 5A-10) dominated Clewiston (1-8, 1-4) 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 on the road Wednesday.

North Port 3, Island Coast 0: The Gators traveled up to North Port, falling 25-5, 25-15, 25-14 to drop to 0-12 on the season.
