Kupser marketing coordinator at CONRIC PR& Marketing

CONRIC PR & marketing has added Katie Kupser as its marketing coordinator Katie Kupser.

Kupser will play a multifaceted role for the company, handling project and account management, business development and strategic marketing. She'll communicate regularly with clients to ensure CONRIC's service continues to meet and exceed their expectations.

The longtime Southwest Florida resident graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor of arts in communication, with a concentration in public relations and minors in advertising and marketing. Kupser previously worked at Pearl Brands in Fort Myers and was a marketing intern at Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa. She also interned at CONRIC during her time in college, developing an affection for the company's clients and way of doing business.

Kupser also previously served as public relations and media director for the Jesse M. Woodyard Committee, which honors the life of a late former FGCU student. She worked to organize and execute the Fallen Eagle Redfish Classic, the largest annual fishing tournament in Southwest Florida, which raises funds for a scholarship in Woodyard's name.

Morris joins Morris-Depew Associates

Jack Morris P.E. has joined Morris-Depew Associates as an engineering project manager in the Fort Myers headquarters. He will be responsible for all professional aspects of engineering projects; coordination of other multidiscipline project team members; and supporting the engineering design of site and roadway improvements, water management, and/or utilities portions of large projects.

Morris has nearly 20 years of industry experience, including diverse work in engineering design, surveying, site construction and surface mining. He previously served as a project manager for an engineering firm in Southwest Florida, managing the design and permitting of residential, commercial and institutional projects in Lee County, Collier County, City of Bonita Springs, Village of Estero and city of Fort Myers.

Morris earned his bachelor of science degree from Lawrence Technological University.

Fort Myers Brewing Company to expand

Fort Myers Brewing Company has big plans on tap as the first microbrewery in Lee County announces plans for expansion. Recently, Fort Myers Brewing Company founders and co-owners Rob and Jen Whyte received unanimous approval from the Lee County Board of County Commissioners to purchase just over 22 acres of property from the Lee County Port Authority referred to as the Commerce Lakes Drive Parcel.

Adjacent to the brewery's current location in the Gateway community of Fort Myers, the new space will be comprised of both commerce and community, featuring a multi-purpose 40,000-square-foot facility with malt beverage manufacturing and packaging, a large tasting hall, private event space, outdoor beer garden, plenty of parking and lots of green space.

Fort Myers Brewing opened in 2013 with 1,500 square feet and now occupies just under 20,000 square feet. In addition to expanding its capacity for community events, the new facility will also allow the company to streamline and build operations.

The closing on the property is expected to be completed within the next 60 days.

Established in 2013, Fort Myers Brewing Company was the first microbrewery to open in Lee County. Tickets available for Rumrunners' Celebrity Chef Night Aug. 14

Tickets are available for the 16th annual Rumrunners' Celebrity Chef Night set for Aug. 14 at Rumrunners at Cape Harbour. Culinary creations for the event will be provided by local celebrity chefs, including Chef Todd Johnson and Chef Ralph Centalonza of Rumrunners, Chef Harold Balink of Harold's Restaurant, Chef Norman Love of Norman Love Confections and Chef Melissa Talmage of Sweet Melissa's Caf. Proceeds from the event will benefit Barbara's Friends - Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida's Cancer Fund, which assists children and their families in their fight against cancer.

Rumrunners' Celebrity Chef Night will once again feature a champagne toast drawing to win a custom-made Mark Loren Designs piece valued over $2,000, a silent auction featuring hand-signed memorabilia from the worlds of sports and entertainment, as well as trips and travel to some of the most desirable destinations and popular events in the country. Leone joins Southwest Florida Community Foundation

The Southwest Florida Community Foundation recently welcomed Katie Leone as Impact and Sustainability Manager.

In her new position, Leone will work on the Social Innovation & Sustainability Team where she will support the development, execution, measurement and reporting of sustainability initiatives including sustainability initiatives for the Future-Makers Coalition.

Her work will center on making complex issues understandable and actionable to assist the foundation and regional partners in improving the quality of life in our region.

Prior to joining the foundation's staff, Leone was the Sustainability Manager at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Leone was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio and earned her undergraduate degrees in studio art and Italian studies from Miami University.
